COLUMBIA COUNTY

 

Home to several master-planned communities, Columbia County is well known for top-rated schools, outdoor activities on land or in the water of the Augusta Canal, Clarks Hill Lake or the Savannah River, over 1,400 acres of county-maintained parks and concert venues, and miles of biking and jogging paths. Easy access to I-20 and its close proximity to Fort Gordon and the downtown medical district have allowed Columbia County to be a desirable place to live, work and play.

AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY

 

Augusta-Richmond County is not only known as being Home of The Masters Golf Tournament, but it was recently named headquarters for the Army's Cyber Command, and it continues to grow. Augusta is home for thousands of service members and their families stationed at Fort Gordon. Augusta borders South Carolina, with the beautiful Savannah River dividing the two states. Also a host of the Ironman Triathlon, Augusta has various major sporting events throughout the year. The city offers a vibrant arts scene and more than 100 restaurants, dozens of galleries and museums, and a plethora of live music and performing arts venues.

NORTH AUGUSTA- AIKEN COUNTY

 

Crossing the Savannah River from Augusta, Georgia into South Carolina will find you in quaint, but thriving North Augusta. North Augusta offers small town charm with access to the downtown Medical District in Augusta right over the 13th Street Bridge. The Greeneway offers miles of paved pathways for walking, running or biking, with parts alongside the Savannah River. Also along the river is a newly developed area offering an amphitheater, minor league baseball stadium, hotel, various shopping and dining options and rooftop views. 

MCDUFFIE COUNTY

 

McDuffie County, comprised of Thomson and Dearing, is located on the west side of Georgia’s Clarks Hill Lake. Surrounded by natural beauty, this historic area offers a variety of recreational activities including, camping, kayaking, biking, fishing, and wildlife watching. Thomson is host to the Blind Willie McTell Festival, Belle Meade Fox Hunt, Pine Top Farm Horse Trials, Old Frontier Pro Rodeo and more!

LINCOLN COUNTY

 

Formerly serving as the agricultural and government service center for the county, Lincolnton, the county seat of Lincoln County, is currently evolving into the recreational, tourism and manufacturing employment center for the Clarks Hill Lake Area. Over the last three decades, Lincoln County has experienced significant change, becoming a popular sports area for northeast Georgia, and particularly for the Augusta Metropolitan area. Because of this and increasing manufacturing opportunities, Lincoln County has experienced a steadily increasing rate of population growth.
